For the majority of my career, I have been responsible for the management of occupational pensions schemes. During that time, I have consistently delivered change in the pensions sector in a number of roles. I am proud to have received in both 2011 and 2014 the 'Pensions Manager of the Year' award at the Engaged Investor Awards and the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Pensions Management Institute ('PMI') in 2018. I am now a fully accredited Professional Trustee.

A Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute, I was, until the expiry of my second five year term, an elected member of the Institute's Council, Chair of the Institute's Trustee Group and a Non-Executive Director I also sit on the Advisory Council of AIMSE Europe (Association of Investment Managers Sales Executives), the professional organisation dedicated to serving the needs of investment management marketing, sales and client servicing professionals within the European area. I was also formerly a member of the Pensions Committee of The Hundred Group, the organisation that represents the views of the Finance Directors of the UK's largest employers.

I am a judge for a number of industry awards and have previously lectured at Conferences on behalf of AIMSE, the (then) National Association Pension Funds ('NAPF'), the PMI and other pension industry seminars. I was the author of 'Management and Administration' module for the NAPF online trustee training course (the precursor of the Trustee Toolkit) and have previously acted as a tPAS Adviser.
